🦃 Enjoying Thanksgiving Without Flipping The Table 2024 edition

Dear Loved Ones,

Hello all. I am sick with a cold, probably the inevitable consequence of taking tweens to see Tate McRae last week. As she would say, “Live now, think later, I do it so well.”

A few words about US Thanksgiving. I hope this may be helpful to navigate what can be a tricky holiday. Briefly:

  • Resist the urge to engage in the fantasy that you can control or change anyone but yourself.
  • Instead, focus on you. Rest, feed, and water yourself. Abide in silence.
  • Belove yourself and others. Treat BOTH yourself and others with dignity and kindness.
  • Ask yourself if this was the last chance, the last moment, how would I respond?
  • Silence is an answer. No is a full sentence. Arm yourself with a few ways to politely decline the bait or simply change topics.

And I’ll point you to my Thanksgiving posts from last year:

Question for you

  • What are your favorite songs of the year? What has been getting you through?
  • What album do you want to share with everyone you know?

Just reply to share the love! I’ll send out everyone’s answers next time and add my own.

All the love, Kerry
